The Safe-T-Pak range of pack sizes have been developed to ship hazardous substances of packaging groups 1, 2 and 3.
These containers are designed for the transportation of limited quantities of hazardous substances when using an approved inner package.
- Packing Group 1 - Great Danger
- Packing Group 2 - Medium Danger
- Packing Group 3 - Minor Danger
The certificate that applies to each pack is only valid when the following conditions are met;
- The maximum gross weight of the pack must not be exceeded.
- Inner packaging must be of suitable design. (See UN Recommendations on the transport of dangerous Goods (Orange Book) 6.1.5.1.6)
- Materials that react adversely must not be packed in the same case.
- The case must be sealed by one of the prescribed methods.
- Correct use of external labels and marking is essential without obscuring the UN mark.
